Dark Between the Stars


Question: “What about you Chris? Do you think the world is in a tailspin?

Response: “No I think it’s more of a nose dive.”




INT. BASEMENT STORAGE ROOM - NIGHT

Both men hear a noise coming from a gaping hole in the wall. They both 
turn and face it.

HERBERT

What was that?

 

WILLIAM WHITE BEAR

The past is a light sleeper. You’ve woken  it up. 

 

HERBERT

We’ve got to kill it.

 

WILLIAM WHITE BEAR

It’s already dead. It’s been dead longer  than mankind has been alive.

Herbert turns to run. White (Bear) grabs his arm.

WILLIAM WHITE BEAR

You see the world will go on without either of us. Others would gladly take our place.

Something, deep inside the ground, moves with ancient hunger and rage towards them…
